Power restored on Maui after brief outage to 1,000 customers
About 1,000 customers experienced a power outage on Maui today.
The outage occurred shortly before 7 a.m. and affected parts of Lahaina.
Power was restored to a majority of the customers at about 7:50 a.m., according to Maui Electric Company spokeswoman Kau‘i Awai-Dickson.
Crew members are working to restore power to the remaining customers.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
