An Army National Guard captain was arrested Wednesday by U.S. marshals for alleged possession of child pornography in 2010 and will be extradited to Missouri.
Darrin J. Taylor, 47, is being held in the police cellblock on an arrest warrant that was issued in the Circuit Court of Christian County, Mo., charging him with two class C felony counts of possession of child pornography in the first degree.
U.S. marshals, Hawaii sheriff deputies and U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations special agents arrested Taylor at his home in the 300 block of Gemini Avenue on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
With Taylor was a 16-month-old child who is believed to be his son. The child was turned over to Taylor’s spouse, who was at work at the time.
The U.S. Marshals task force said Taylor relocated to Honolulu in August. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
