President Barack Obama spent his last day of vacation Wednesday at the gym, golf course and beach.
The president went for a morning workout at the Marine Corps Base gym in Kaneohe for about an hour before playing a round of golf at the Kaneohe Klipper golf course, also on the base.
Obama also golfed at the Klipper course Saturday and Monday.
His golf partners Wednesday and Monday were childhood friends Mike Ramos, Bobby Titcomb and Greg Orme. Titcomb and Ramos also golfed with Obama on Saturday.
The president also joined the first lady and their daughters at Pyramid Rock Beach on the base Wednesday afternoon.
Obama arrived in Hawaii early Saturday morning but cut his vacation short and left Wednesday night to return to Washington, D.C., to continue negotiations to avoid the fiscal cliff mix of tax increases and spending cuts scheduled to take effect on Jan. 1.
First lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha were to remain in Hawaii through the beginning of January.
The president and first lady spent part of Christmas Day with members of the military and their families at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
The rest of the day was spent with family and friends, opening gifts, singing carols and having Christmas dinner at their vacation home, according to the White House.
