Police looking for second suspect in Wahiawa purse snatching

Honolulu police arrested one suspect and were looking for a second man in a purse snatching case in Wahiawa Thursday night.

Officers arrested the driver of a vehicle used to grab the purse of an 84-year-old woman, police said..

The second suspect, a 26-year-old man, grabbed the woman’s purse as they drove by, causing the victim to fall to the ground, police said.

Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the 37-year-old driver, a Wahiawa man, at about 7:45 p.m. on Wilikina Drive near Kunia Road. But the 26-year-old man fled the scene.

Police did not release information on injuries to the victim.
