Hawaiian Electric Co. crews repaired a downed pole near Kahe Point today.

Police reopened two town-bound lanes of Farrington Highway near Kahe Point this afternoon as crews complete repairs on a utility pole knocked down in a crash Saturday night that sent an 18-year-old woman to the hospital.

One Waianae-bound lane remained closed early this afternoon.

The highway was initially closed in both directions, but was later contra-flowed as utility crews responded to the area Saturday night.

The Emergency Medical Services Department reported that paramedics took an 18-year-old woman, the driver of a vehicle that hit a utility pole and knocked down power lines, to the hospital in serious condition following the 10:25 p.m. crash on Farrington near Kahe Point.
