Homicide investigation started in Hawaii island man’s disapperance

Hawaii County police have opened a homicide investigation in connection with the disappearance of a 44-year-old Hawaiian Acres man.

Dante Peter Gilman was reported missing on Jan. 10 and a missing person investigation was initiated.

Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section developed information leading to the initiation of the criminal case. They continue to search for Gilman.
