Cancer patient will benefit from fundraiser

A fundraiser for Christopher A. Otto will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at M Nightclub at Waterfront Plaza.

Otto was diagnosed with stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer and is undergoing an aggressive routine of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. He worked at Bank of Hawaii for 12 years before falling ill. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to offset his medical and other expenses.

The event by Friends of Christopher Otto will have food, a silent auction and prize raffles. Auction items include art, hotel stays, jewelry and gift baskets. Raffle prizes include wine, a surfboard, a paddleboard and an iPad.
