UH’s Hall wins both diving events in loss
University of Hawaii’s Lauren Hall won both diving events in a 162-138 loss to Kansas in a women’s swimming and diving meet Friday at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
Hall took top honors in the platform and 1-meter dives, with teammate Aimee Harrison finishing right behind her in both events. Genevieve Bradley finished third in the 1-meter and fourth in the platform.
UH’s Sofija Djelic took first in both the 100 fly (56.33) and 200 fly (2:03.00). Jasmine Alkhaldi won the 50 free (25.53) and finished second in the 100 free (51.19), and along with Sofia Mustelin, Morgan Mark and Katie Stover, took top honors in the 200 free relay. Stover edged Alkhaldi by one-hundredth of a point to win the 100 free (51.18).
The Rainbow Wahine have over a month off before heading to Long Beach, Calif., for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming Championships, which begin Feb. 20.
