Teenage boy arrested in connection with Waipahu robbery
A 14-year-old boy was arrested this week in connection with the hijacking of another teenager in Waipahu on Christmas Eve.
Police said the victim, also 14, said he was riding TheBus about noon on Dec. 24 when he was approached by a teenage boy who asked him for money. When the victim said he had no money, the other boy searched his pants pockets and then took his Apple iPod, police said, and then verbally threatened him.
The suspect was arrested about noon Wednesday.
