The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 49-year-old Waipahu woman, who died Thursday following a hit-and-run accident a day earlier.

Cecilia Ramirez was struck by a pickup truck at Paiwa and Puloku streets as she was heading for a city bus. The woman was crossing Paiwa Street outside a marked crosswalk about 6 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The police are still looking for the pickup truck, which is believed to be red, and the driver who stopped, then drove off.

The woman was taken in critical condition with head and internal injuries to the hospital, where she died at 12:16 p.m. Thursday, police said.
