Man accused of assaulting police officer
A 55-year-old Waipahu man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly attacked a police officer who was questioning him about damage to Central Pacific Bank’s property at the Westgate Shopping Center in Waipahu.
Police said the suspect was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest after he allegedly assaulted an officer who was trying to question him at 2:50 p.m. He also faces charges of fourth-degree criminal property damage and assaulting a police officer.
2 suspects sought in Kunia robbery
Police are looking for two men in their 30s who allegedly robbed two other men early Tuesday morning at gunpoint in Kunia.
Police said the two victims, ages 34 and 33, were sitting inside a vehicle in a Kunia restaurant parking lot at 4:24 a.m. Tuesday when two masked men approached them.
One robber, armed with a handgun, got into the car with the other robber. They demanded money and instructed one of the victims to drive around the area.
The two robbers fled on foot. Police did not say whether they took any money.
