Hawaii's Christian Standhardinger keeps the ball away from Long Beach State's Keala King during the second-half of a men's college basketball game between the Long Beach State 49ers and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Stan-Sheriff Center in Honolulu. Hawaii upset conference top-seed Long Beach State 94-73.

Hawaii basketball junior forward Christian Standhardinger was named Big West Conference Player of the Week today, making him a rare repeat winner of the honor.

The 6-foot-8 Standhardinger averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 67 percent in UH wins over Long Beach State (94-73) on Thursday and UC Irvine (78-72) on Saturday.

The last Rainbow Warrior to repeat for conference player of the week honors was Anthony Harris, who did so in the Western Athletic Conference in the 1995-96 season.

It was the third BWC weekly honor to go to UH this season; freshman guard Brandon Jawato received the other.

The Rainbow Warriors (15-9, 9-4 BWC) are on a five-game winning streak.
