En route to Monkeypod Kitchen, you’ll pass Island Country Market, a division of ABC Stores. There are the usual Hawaiian Tropics tanning and Hawaiian Host mac nut products, but it differs from the Waikiki ABC stores with a deli section for Ko Olina’s resort-bound population. There are only so many times one can eat at Aulani or Ihilani.
Available are Boar’s Head Cubano, roast beef and peppered turkey sandwiches ($10.99), to-go pastas and such daily specials as shoyu chicken, beef broccoli and meatloaf with mushroom gravy ($5.99 mini/$7.99 regular).
There’s also a produce section that’s small but as pretty as anything Whole Foods or the redesigned Safeways could offer.
