Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that caused $70,000 worth of damage to a maintenance building at the Wahiawa Botanical Gardens Tuesday night.
Capt. Terry Seelig, Fire Department spokesman, said the fire, reported at 10:56 p.m. was confined to one of three bays of the maintenence building located at 1396 California Ave. The fire damaged the bay that housed lawnmowers, weed whackers and other maintenance equipment. It was brought under control at 11:08 p.m.
There were no injuries reported.
