Infielder Justin Protacio (Mid-Pacific ’11) added two hits, three walks, two runs and two RBIs, and Robert Kahana (Campbell ’11) appeared in two games, allowing two runs on three hits in 12⁄3 innings with a walk and three strikeouts for Kansas.
>> Nevada first baseman Kewby Meyer (Kamehameha ’11) went 5-for-14 with two doubles, three runs and an RBI to help the Wolf Pack pull off a three-game sweep of Holy Cross over the weekend.
>> Cal State East Bay senior Bryson Nakamura (Pearl City ’08) went 6-for-12 with two runs and a stolen base, and Naea Kalehuawehe (Kamehameha-Maui ’09) doubled for the Pioneers in a four-game split with Sonoma State over the weekend.
>> Sacramento State catcher Dane Fujinaka (Mid-Pacific ’11) drew two walks and scored a run in a 10-3 win over Utah Valley on Sunday to clinch a series win.
>> Saint Mary’s (Calif.) senior right-hander Kelsey Outram (’Iolani ’08) pitched five innings and allowed four runs — three earned — on seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts in a 10-1 loss to UC Santa Barbara on Monday.
>> St. Martin’s (Wash.) sophomore Chase DeCoito (Saint Louis ’11) got the win in one shutout inning of relief, and Travis Shaw (Saint Louis ’11) had two hits in the series as the Saints split with Concordia (Ore.) over the weekend. Cavaliers senior Cole Shidaki (Saint Louis ’08) went 4-for-7 in the two games.
>> After rehabbing from a herniated disk, Northern Colorado sophomore Jensen Park (‘Iolani ’11) made his first start of the season on Saturday and hit two doubles in a 6-1 loss to Santa Clara.
>> Willamette (Ore.) outfielder Rolenn Himuro (Punahou ’11) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs to help the Bearcats salvage a game in a series against Pacific Lutheran with a 7-6 win on Sunday.
>> Western Oregon first baseman Josh Wong (Kamehameha ’09) doubled and drove in both runs to help the Wolves beat Montana State Billings 2-1 on Sunday and take three of four in the series.
>> Claremont-Mudd-Scripps junior Brett Watanabe (‘Iolani ’10) hit .462 (6-for-13) with a double, home run and seven RBIs in three losses to Occidental (Calif.) over the weekend. Watanabe pitched in two of the three games, allowing two runs in 42⁄3 innings on seven hits and three walks.
>> Cal Lutheran sophomore right-hander Scott Peters (Punahou ’11) allowed one run on two hits with two walks and a strikeout in five innings of relief in a 9-6 loss to Chapman (Calif.) on Saturday.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
>> Washington State guard Lia Galdeira (Konawaena ’12) earned three different Pac-12 honors on Monday. Galdeira received honorable mention on the All-Pac-12 and All-Defensive teams and was a unanimous selection to the All-Freshman team as voted on by the Pac-12 media. Galdeira led all freshmen in the conference with 14.8 points per game and led the entire league with 49 steals. She is tied for the lead among all freshmen in the country in scoring.
>> Cal State Northridge senior forward Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) had 14 points, two steals, a block and a rebound before fouling out of a 69-60 loss to Hawaii on Saturday.
>> Utah senior guard Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08), who received honorable mention on the All-Apc-12 team, had 13 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 29 minutes of a 70-52 win over Oregon on Sunday to end the regular season. The Utes will play Arizona in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament on Thursday.
>> Indiana forward Milika Taufa (Lahainaluna ’10) started and had five points and seven rebounds in a 75-70 loss to Iowa last Thursday. The Hoosiers will play Michigan in the first round of the Big Ten tournament on Thursday.
>> Utah State senior Pualei Furtado (Kamehameha ’09) started and totaled three points, three rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes of an 81-57 win over Texas-Arlington on Saturday.
MEN’S GOLF
>> Brigham Young junior Justin Keiley (Baldwin ’10) shot a 3-under 69 on Tuesday in the final round of the Fresno Lexus Classic to finish in a tie for 13th place at 3 under.
>> Pacific (Ore.) junior Josh Mau (Maryknoll ’10) finished at 8-over 152 to place fourth in the Willamette Invitational on Sunday.
WOMEN’S GOLF
>> Pepperdine freshman Marissa Chow (‘Iolani ’12) finished in a tie for second place after a 2-over 74 in the final round of the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday. Her career-best finish came on her birthday. Chow finished the tournament at 3 over, four shots behind the winner, after sandwiching a 71 between rounds of 74. Teammate Alina Ching (Punahou ’11) finished in a tie for 54th place at 29 over, and Washington State freshman Nani Yanagi (Waiakea ’12) finished in a tie for 69th place at 37 over.
>> Oregon sophomore Cassy Isagawa (Baldwin ’11) jumped six spots on the final day of the Juli Inkster Invitational to finish in a tie for fifth place at 5-over 221 after shooting a 73 on Tuesday. Washington sophomore Cyd Okino (Punahou ’11) finished in a tie for 23rd place at 12 over and San Francisco sophomore Michelle Condry (Punahou ’11) finished in a tie for 66th place at 30 over.

>> Cornell junior Mackenzie Sato (‘Iolani ’10) finished fifth in the floor exercise with a 9.800 at the Rutgers Quad Meet on Saturday.
>> Arizona State senior Kahoku Palafox (Maryknoll ’08) earned a 9.850 on bars and a 9.10 on beam in a dual-meet loss to Arizona on Saturday.
>> UC Davis sophomore Tiana Montell (St. Joseph’s ’11) earned a 9.725 on vault, a 9.550 on bars and a 9.625 on beam in a dual-meet loss to San Jose State on Friday.
>> Louisiana State sophomore Randi Lau (Thompson Academy ’11) finished in sixth place with a 9.875 on vault in a dual-meet win over Georgia on Friday.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
>> Southern Cal senior Christel Simms (Punahou ’09) placed 12th in the 100-yard backstroke in 53.76 seconds at the Pac-12 championships that ended Sunday. Simms won the C-final event in the 100 freestyle (17th overall) in 49.65 seconds and finished 19th in the 50 free (22.81).
>> Kenyon (Ohio) College freshman Maria Zarka (Kalaheo ’12) placed second in the 1-meter competition and fifth in the 3 meter at the NCAA Division III Region 1 diving championships on Saturday to qualify for the NCAA Division III championships, March 20-23 in Shenandoah, Tex.

>> Santa Clara junior Logan Chun (‘Iolani ’10) started his first doubles match for the Broncos and won at the No. 3 flight to help Santa Clara defeat UC Irvine 4-3 on Sunday.

>> George Fox junior Shaina Inn (Hawaii Baptist ’10) won in straight sets in No. 3 singles and was also victorious at No. 1 doubles to lead the Bruins to a 6-3 victory over Willamette (Ore.) on Friday for their first win of the season.
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
>> Occidental (Calif.) sprinter Jonathan Padron (Damien ’10) qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships in the 60-meter dash after running it in 6.92 seconds to win a tiebreaker for the 13th spot at the University of Washington final qualifier on Friday. Padron is believed to be the first Occidental track and field athlete to compete in the Division III national championships. Padron has won the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in the 100 in each of the past two years.

>> Whittier (Calif.) College senior Courtney Honda (Kamehameha ’09) finished sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.98 and 10th in the 200-meter dash (27.41) in a five-team SCIAC meet on Saturday.
WOMEN’S WATER POLO
>> Senior Hannah Ishida (Punahou ’09) netted three goals in each of Villanova’s two victories as the Wildcats finished 2-4 at the Posada Royale Tournament in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Naomi Ng (Punahou ’12) and Sarina Shibata (Punahou ’12) both tallied four goals in six games for Villanova. Shibata scored twice and Ng once in a 9-7 loss to Occidental (Calif.) on Sunday. Senior Nanea Fujiyama (Kamehameha ’09) had a match-high five goals for the Tigers. Cal Lutheran senior Jane Galluzzi (Punahou ’08) scored three fourth-quarter goals, and Kehau Ai (Kamehameha ’11) added one in a 9-7 win over Whittier (Calif.) on Sunday to close out the tournament.
>> Harvard senior Aisha Price (Punahou ’09) had three goals and four assists, and junior Shayna Price (Punahou ’10) scored two goals and had two steals in a 13-9 win over Bucknell on Saturday.
>> UC San Diego goalkeeper Courtney Miller (Punahou ’12) made nine saves in a 9-8 win over Pacific (Calif.) and had seven more in a 9-6 loss to Cal State Northridge on the final day of the UC Irvine Invitational on Sunday.
>> Colorado State sophomore Alex Daley (Mililani ’11) scored two goals in four games as the Rams finished 1-3 in the Aggie Shootout over the weekend.

>> Wartburg (Iowa) College junior Punahele Soriano (Kahuku ’10) placed second in the 197-pound weight class at the NCAA Division III Central Region Tournament on Saturday. Soriano went
3-1, including a pin against the No. 2 seed, to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships in two weeks.
>> New York University sophomore Patrick Sheehan (Punahou ’11) finished second at 184 pounds at the NCAA Division III East Region Championships on Saturday. Sheehan went 3-1 with a pin and a decision over the No. 2 seed to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Johns Hopkins sophomore Evan Johnson (Punahou ’11) went 2-2 at 197 pounds.
>> Wesleyan (Conn.) University senior Maika Nagata (Punahou ’09) went 3-1 with a win against the No. 3 seed to finish fifth at 133 pounds at the NCAA Division III Northeast Region Tournament on Saturday. Nagata finished the year 13-8.
>> Menlo (Calif.) College senior Drake Medeiros (Saint Louis ’09) finished fifth at 125 pounds at the NAIA West Qualifying Tournament on Saturday.
