Arty deals offered at Museum Shop
The Honolulu Museum of Art is cleaning house at the Museum Shop with a semiannual clearance sale offering reductions of 30 to 80 percent on books, stationery, posters, jewelry, T-shirts and more. Included are logo and branded products bearing the museum’s former name, which could turn out to be collectible someday. Funds raised support museum programs.
The sale is on from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. On Sunday many items will be marked down an additional 50 percent off of sale prices.
Pop-up shop sets March, April dates
Pacifikology, a pop-up design shop featuring contemporary Pacific design, art and Hawaiian vintage fashion, will show up in two new locations this month and April 25 to 27, with 10 percent of sales benefiting the American Cancer Society.
Curated by co-founders Janu Cassidy and Marla Momi Musick, the limited-time shopping events showcase original design collaborations, contemporary fashion, accessories and items for the home.
Featured will be vintage-inspired dresses by Jeffrey Yoshida Couture, printed fabric and clothing by Tutuvi Sitoa, urban-meets-Pacific silver jewelry from Strands by Momi, vintage fashion and collectibles from Radio Hula, New Zealand-printed fabric and fashion from Pili Design, jewelry from Panacea Designs, vintage fashions from Maud Vintage and evening fashions by Kay Alohawear.
The pop-ups will be at the Tutuvi Sitoa Store, 2636 S King St., noon to 6 p.m. Saturday through March 28, and the same times at St. Andrew’s Cathedral’s Davies Hall on the April dates.

Benefit show takes an Asian approach
The Associated Chinese University Women will host their annual scholarship fundraiser fashion show, "Asian Rhythms and Motifs from China, Korea, Japan," March 30 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Ballroom.
The show will feature designs by Wahiawa-based You and Me Naturally and Duke’s Clothing.
A silent auction and boutique will open at 9 a.m. Included will be handmade Easter baskets, baked goods, jewelry, gift certificates for spa services and restaurants. The luncheon and fashion show will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Collectible show looks back in time
The Wiki Wiki One-Day Vintage Collectibles & Hawaiiana Show returns to the Blaisdell Hawaii Suites, 777 Ward Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
The event features items at least 20 years old, with about 93 vendors from Hawaii and the mainland. Among items available will be Hawaiian maps, paintings, prints, postcards and menus from pre-statehood Hawaii, as well as estate jewelry, gold and silver, kimono, ukulele, Ming’s jewelry, Niihau shell lei, textiles, aloha shirts and kitchenware.

Custom shoes carry message of service
T&C Surf Ala Moana Center is hosting a TOMS Shoes "Style your Sole" event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Hawaii artists MaryJane Jalei and Kimberly Hug, and tattoo artists Neil Porras and Matus will lend their talents, customizing TOMS Shoes purchased from T&C.
Buyers will come away with an original work of art that sends a message about helping others.
This will be the second collaboration between T&C Surf and TOMS, founded in California in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. For every pair of TOMS simple canvas slip-ons sold, one pair is given to a child in need.
