Hawaii's Kaia Parnaby pitched in the top of the first inning of a college softball game Friday between the Syracuse Orange and the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine at Wahine Softball Stadium in Manoa.

University of Hawaii sophomore Leisha Li’ili’i and senior Kaia Parnaby were named the Big West Softball Field Player and Pitcher of the Week Monday.

Li’ili’i claimed the weekly award for the second time this season after hitting three home runs in UH’s series sweep at Cal State Northridge over the weekend. The Castle graduate hit .556 (5-for-9) and posted a .667 on-base percentage. She had a double to go along with her three homers for a slugging percentage of 1.667.

Parnaby was named the conference’s pitcher of the week for the fourth time this season and for the second consecutive week. Parnaby earned complete-game wins in all three starts against the Matadors. She struck out 13 in the series opener on Saturday and raised her record to 23-3.
