The dating website Meet-AtTheAirport.com rated Honolulu Airport as fourth best among West Coast airports for a rendezvous.
What’s that? You haven’t heard of MeetAtTheAirport.com? That’s understandable, since it just started in May 2011 and has only 70,000 members worldwide.
To make sure more people do hear about the site, the Miami-based company is putting out a ranking of best airports for singles to "make a hot connection."
Founder Steve Pasternack created the website after he was stranded at Miami International Airport because of a flight delay. He told CNN.com, "I noticed a lot of people at the bar looking for something to do, and I thought it’d be great if I could get them to meet each other."

Users put in their flight details plus some personal information, and the site is supposed to match them with someone they would like to meet who is also waiting for a flight.
The company said the Honolulu airport was highly rated in a survey of its members because "with a beautiful, lush garden area, couples can enjoy a quiet walk or just work on a quick tan. And there’s no rush. Ever heard of ‘Island Time?’ Well, it applies at the airport, as well … expect everything to run just a little slower than normal, and that’s a good thing for our purposes."
