Fujikawa shoots 69, is tied for 11th
Hawaii’s Tadd Fujikawa shot a 2-under 69 on Friday and is tied for 11th at the eGolf Tour’s Columbia Open in Blythewood, S.C.
Fujikawa’s three-round total is 5-under 208. Tanner Ervin of Mount Pleasant, S.C. is the leader at 16-under 197 with Jeff Curl of Ellington, Conn., second at 8-under 205. The final round will be held today.
Kaiwi Channel race to honor Conner
More than 150 paddlers will compete in the Paddling Athletes Association’s Kaiwi Channel Relay on Sunday in memory of Tommy Conner.
Pat Dolan and Kai Bartlett will defend their titles against a stellar field that features Danny Ching, the 2013 Kaiwi Channel OC-1 world champion, and Jimmy Austin, the 2012 Kaiwi Channel runner-up.
Conner, a legendary outrigger canoe paddler, designer and builder, died March 28.
