2. Jimmy Borges, fourth from left, who got the award in 2008, greeted 2013 honoree Larry Rivera and his family -- daughter Lurline Rivera Fernandez, left, his wife, Gloria Rivera, and daughter Ilima Rivera. Rivera choked up a bit while receiving the award. He said his biggest award "is from God. He gave me my wife, he gave me my six children, my 17 grandchildren and my 18 great-grandchildren" -- and then earned a round of applause when he rattled off the kids' names as if he was doing a chant. Lurline accompanied her father on keyboards and Ilima danced hula when he serenaded the audience with "Kamalani."
