The CEO of the Waimanalo Health Center is one of 15 women the White House has recognized as part of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Mary Frances Oneha was honored at a “Champions of Change” event at the White House on Monday. The event recognized Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander women.

U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard says Oneha has dedicated her life to the promotion of Native Hawaiian health care.

Oneha has more than 30 years of nursing experience, with the past 20 years serving Native Hawaiian communities.
