>> Jensen Park, ‘Iolani ’11: The Northern Colorado center fielder went 4-for-16 with two doubles, a run and two RBIs against Utah Valley.
>> Scott Peters, Punahou ’11: The Cal Lutheran left-hander started the championship game of the inaugural Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament Sunday and scattered seven hits over six innings, allowing four runs with five strikeouts to improve to 8-0 for the season in a 10-6 win over Pomona-Pitzer. The Kingsmen will play in the NCAA Division III playoffs and find out their opponent during the selection show on May 12.
>> Michael Arakaki, Mid-Pacific ’09: The Pacific (Ore.) shortstop was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team on Monday. Arakaki led the Boxers with a .353 batting average and finished with 42 hits, 21 runs scored, six doubles, two triples and nine RBIs. He finished the season with six straight multihit games.
>> Robert Fram, Castle ’11: The Southeastern (Fla.) University catcher hit .462 (6-for-13) with a walk and three RBIs in four games in the Sun Conference double-elimination tournament.
Men’s Golf: Kim qualifies for regional
Boise State senior T.K. Kim, a 2009 St. Anthony alumnus, became the fifth Bronco ever to be selected to an NCAA regional, when he was one of five individuals selected to compete in the NCAA West Regional in Pullman, Wash., May 16-18.
Kim, who earned the nod on Monday, has finished in the top 25 in all 11 of Boise State’s tournaments this season, tying him for second-most in school history. He has placed in the top 10 three times this year and his 72.29 scoring average is the fifth lowest ever by a Bronco.
Kim was one of seven individuals who finished under par at the Mountain West Conference championships, where he finished fifth in the 45-man field at 2-under 211 on Sunday.
On Monday morning, Kim shot a 5-under 66 at the Ridgecrest Golf Club in Nampa, Idaho, to win the local site and advance to sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open at Tumble Creek Golf Club in Cle Elum, Wash., on June 3.
Softball: Manuma earns PCSC honor
Brigham Young junior Katie Manuma won her first Pacific Coast Softball Conference player of the week award Tuesday.
Manuma, a 2010 Campbell alumna, hit .643 in six games last week, helping the Cougars go undefeated against intrastate rival Southern Utah and Saint Mary’s (Calif.)
Manuma went 5-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of the Gaels on Saturday to clinch the PCSC conference title.
She scored five times and drove in six runs during the week and earned two wins on the mound against the Gaels.
She has started all 55 games this year and is hitting .341 with a team-leading 12 doubles, six home runs and 44 RBIs. She’s pitched in 20 games — making one start — and is 5-1 with a 1.29 ERA and four saves.

>> Bradley Shigezawa, Punahou ’10: The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps junior was named the SCIAC player of the year on Saturday. Shigezawa finished with four first-place finishes in the spring, including individual medalist honors at the SCIAC championships.

>> Kimberlee Souza, ‘Iolani ’11: The Washington third baseman went 4-for-8 with a double, three walks, three runs and four RBIs as the Huskies won two of three against Utah over the weekend to remain in third place in the Pac-12.
>> Mysha Sataraka, Punahou ’12: The UCLA third baseman homered, scored twice, drew two walks and drove in three runs in a doubleheader sweep of Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday.
>> Reina Furuya, Punahou ’12: The Penn State shortstop hit an RBI double to drive in the Nittany Lions’ only run in a 3-1 loss to Nebraska on Saturday.
>> Angie Yoshizu, University ’10: The Bloomfield (N.J.) College shortstop was named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference first team on Thursday. Yoshizu finished the regular season second in the conference and 30th in the nation with a .447 batting average, totaling 64 hits and 15 stolen bases.
>> Joslyn Eugenio, Sacred Hearts ’09: The Saint Martin’s (Wash.) first baseman hit a solo home run in a 6-1 win over Simon Fraser on Saturday to win the first Great Northwest Athletic Conference tournament. The Saints earned the fifth seed in the West Region of the NCAA Division II championships and will play No. 4 seed Grand Canyon on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Hawaii time.
>> Kylee Oshiro, Moanalua ’11: The Pacific (Ore.) catcher was named first-team All-Northwest Conference last week. A transfer from Pacific Lutheran, Oshiro finished the year hitting .351 with two homers and 15 RBIs. She led the team with 18 walks and tied for the Boxers lead with 11 doubles, finishing with a .483 on-base percentage in helping Pacific tie for third in the conference.
>> Glenelle Nitta, Mililani ’09: The Pacific Lutheran senior was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team last week. Nitta started 40 of the team’s 44 games and hit .303 with three homers, 25 runs scored and 17 RBIs.
>> Lindsey Matsunaga, Kaimuki ’10: The Pacific Lutheran shortstop was named second team All-Northwest Conference last week. Matsunaga, who made the first team in each of the past two years, hit .288 in 36 games with five doubles, two homers and 19 RBIs.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
>> Kristin Lim, Punahou ’09: The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior won matches at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to lead the Athenas to a 7-2 win over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday in the finals of the SCIAC Championships. CMS was selected Monday as a regional host for the first three rounds of the NCAA Division III championships, May 10-12.
>> Sarah Kukino, Kauai ’11: The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps sophomore won at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles against Pomona-Pitzer.

>> Sophie Curatilo, Moanalua ’11: The Seattle University sophomore finished sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.59 at the Ken Shannon Invitational on Saturday.
>> Breanne Ball, ‘Iolani ’12: The TCU freshman finished 10th in the 800-meter race Saturday with a personal-best time of 2:11.09 at the Big 12 outdoor championships.

>> Jaylen Reyes, Kamehameha ’11: The Brigham Young libero had a match-high nine digs in a three-set loss to UC Irvine in the NCAA championship game Saturday.
WOMEN’S WATER POLO
>> Nanea Fujiyama, Kamehameha ’09: The Occidental (Calif.) senior earned her fourth consecutive All-SCIAC first team award last Thursday. Fujiyama, who never missed a match in her career, holds four different school records, including goals scored, shots attempted, field blocks and games played. She set a single-season record with 25 field blocks as a senior and scored a team-high 74 times to give her 303 in her career.
>> Moana Tuipulotu, Lahainaluna ’09: The Redlands (Calif.) senior driver was named first team All-SCIAC for the second time. She scored 17 goals, notched 28 steals and dished out a team-high 14 assists in conference games.
>> Jane Galluzzi, Punahou ’08: The Cal Lutheran senior was named to the All-SCIAC second team.
Women’s Basketball: Galdeira invited to try out
After recently completing her freshman season at Washington State, 2012 Konawaena alumna Lia Galdeira has been selected to attend the 2013 National Team Trials to try out for the FIBA U19 World Championship Team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The tryouts will be held May 16-19 and the invitees were announced Tuesday by USA Basketball.
Galdeira is one of 34 players who received and accepted invitations. Twelve will be accepted to the squad. “I am very excited and proud to represent both Washington State and our country while playing with and against some of the best players in the world,” Galdeira said in a Washington State press release.
Galdeira earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention and all-defensive team honorable mention honors while being selected to the All-Pac-12 freshman team in 2012-13. She led the Cougars in scoring (14.8 ppg), rebounding (5.2 rpg), steals (86) and 3-pointers made (41).
She was the second-leading freshman scorer in the country.
Galdeira is the first Cougar to receive a national team invite in 20 years and is one of three players picked from the Pac-12 Conference.
The USA team will compete in the 2013 FIBA U19 World Championships hosted by Lithuania, July 18-28.
