Rainbow Wahine finish fourth in water polo
UCLA beat the Rainbow Wahine water polo team 13-8 Sunday in the third-place game of the NCAA tournament at Harvard’s Blodgett Pool in Cambridge, Mass.
Hawaii (22-11) trailed only 7-6 at half, but the Bruins (28-7) pulled away. Senior Monika Eggens wrapped up her UH career with four goals.
USC beat Stanford 10-9 in the championship match.
Garcia and Smith to speak at QB Club
Punahou athletic director Jeaney Garcia and local marathon veteran Kit Smith are on the bill for today’s Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting at the Maple Garden Restaurant.
Lunch, which costs $15, begins at 11:30 a.m., with the program starting at noon.
