Skybar Waikiki, scheduled to open next spring in the Waikiki Business Plaza, will feature a 3,000-square-foot wraparound lanai and a 6,000-square-foot indoor lounge featuring a 30-foot-wide high-definition video wall.

An open-air lounge and tapas bar featuring unobstructed views of Diamond Head Crater and Waikiki Beach will debut next spring on the 19th floor of the Waikiki Business Plaza.
Skybar Waikiki will feature two bars — one indoors and one outdoors — and will be built two floors below Top of Waikiki, a three-tiered restaurant that makes a full 360-degree rotation every hour.
The new lounge and bar will be owned and operated by Leighton Mau, nephew Alika Mau, Darren Seu and Kainoa Akina. They also own and operate the Waikiki Business Plaza, Top of Waikiki, Waikiki Shopping Plaza and Ambassador Hotel Waikiki.
Construction of the 9,000-square-foot Skybar Waikiki will begin this summer.
Skybar Waikiki will comprise a 3,000-square-foot wraparound lanai bordered by glass railings, and a 6,000-square-foot indoor lounge featuring a 30-foot-wide high-definition video wall and a view of Waikiki. There also will be a VIP room inside the lounge.
Skybar Waikiki is scheduled to be open daily from early evening to late night with free validated parking. Food and beverage menus are in development.
"The modernization project to develop the Waikiki Business Plaza and Waikiki Shopping Plaza as a premier shopping and entertainment venue will be complemented by Skybar Waikiki," said Akina, marketing manager for Skybar Waikiki.
