The Kauai County Council will host the 2013 Hawaii State Association of Counties Annual Conference at the Kauai Beach Resort on June 20-21.

The conference will highlight the importance of preserving Hawaiian culture through government support of Hawaiian organizations, policy and programs, management of Kauai’s unique cultural assets through community stewardship, ways to make agricultural operations sustainable and preservation of natural resources.

Camille Kalama, staff attorney, Native Hawaiian Legal Corp. will be the keynote luncheon speaker.
