LAS VEGAS >> It’s gonna be a scorcher out in the Las Vegas desert.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning through the weekend for large swaths of the Southwest, including southern Nevada.

Highs in Las Vegas are expected to range from 107 degrees from 110 degrees between Thursday and Sunday.

The warning runs to 8 p.m. Sunday.
