A Kauai grand jury has indicted two men for allegedly stealing $20,000 worth of photographic equipment and a laptop computer in February from an Anahola rental beach house.

The Garden Island reported that Aliki K. Peleketi, of Anahola; and Ocean K. Haire, of Kapaa, were indicted May 23 on first-degree theft charges. The two were arrested on Feb. 11, three days after the theft.

Police were able to recover the camera, including images taken at a Maui wedding a few days before the robbery, one of the photographers told the Kauai newspaper.

The newlyweds and the photographers had posted a $2,000 reward, which led to apprehension of the suspects, one of the photographers said.
