Soldiers join in outreach to help homeless veterans

Active-duty military personnel from U.S. Army Pacific joined military and homeless service providers Tuesday to offer health checkups and other services to homeless veterans. Taylor Canne, left, housing case manager for the Waikiki Health Center, waited while Army veteran Dave, who would not give his last name, secured his belongings near the Hono­lulu Zoo entrance.
