It’s been hot out, so over at Shirokiya’s Yataimura at Ala Moana Center, 5&2 Yogurt recently put two cool treats together, building a slush float with frozen yogurt as a $4.25 special.

Otherwise, you’ll find the usual Froyo Bowl of frozen yogurt topped with fresh fruit for $6.75, or topped with fresh fruit and Korean red beans for $7.75.

On Mondays, typically slower traffic days, you’ll also find a different $1 weekly special. The first Monday of each month is Frozen Yogurt Day, when 5&2 offers a small cup of frozen yogurt for $1, one order per customer, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. That’s coming up July 1.

Other $1 days:

>> Second Monday: Akimune-an Taiyaki Day. Get one each of red bean- and cream-filled taiyaki, or fish-shaped cake, for $1, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., with a limit of one pair per customer.

>> Third Monday: Galali Okawa Day. Pick up a small pack of sticky rice for $1, limited to first 100 customers at one order per customer.

>> Fourth Monday: Yataimura Curry Day. Get an order of plain curry for $1, limited to first 100 customers at one order per customer.
