Homeless man arrested for allegedly stealing copper from Sand Island business
Charges are pending for a 58-year-old homeless man — who has a long list of convictions for car theft, burglary and robbery — suspected of taking more than one pound of copper from a business on Sand Island this weekend.
Police said the alleged theft occurred at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at 4 Sand Island Access Road.
Besides the alleged copper theft, the suspect was being held on four contempt warrants. Bail on the bench warrants was $4,750.
