Wind advisory extended for Big Island
An air mass north of the state has prompted weather officials to extend a wind advisory for the Big Island.
The wind advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. tonight. Officials at the National Weather Service forecast easterly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 45 mph.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution, especially when driving tall vehicles.
