The nine final-table players in the World Series of Poker’s Main Event have been determined. The leader is JC Tran with 38 million in chips, 8 million more than the second-biggest stack. Five players are from the United States, and one each are from Canada, France, Israel and the Netherlands. » ‘KA’ reopens: The Cirque du Soleil show "KA" at MGM Grand has reopened. The show shut down voluntarily for more than a week after a performer died from a 90-foot fall during the final battle scene. That scene has been removed from the show. It was the first onstage death in the Cirque’s history.
» Circo closing: Another big-name Las Vegas restaurant is closing. Circo at Bellagio will close "in the spring." No replacement has been announced.
» Carmine’s opens: Many believe that restaurants like Circo are closing because of the emergence of less expensive options, including Carmine’s, which opened last week in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace (pictured) serving family-style Italian dinners. With 27,000 square feet and room for 700 diners, Carmine’s is being touted as the "largest non-nightclub restaurant" in Las Vegas.
Question: Where is Bar 702? I just saw it on the TV show "Bar Rescue."
Answer: Bar 702 is at 3355 Spring Mountain Road, which is about a mile west of center Strip. The "Bar Rescue" makeover included a revamping of the video poker machines, which now have some of the highest-returning schedules in town, along with daily happy hours from 3 to 4 a.m., 9 to 10 a.m., and 5 to 6 p.m. with bonuses that raise the theoretical payback percentages on several video poker games above 100 percent.
