Defaced safety check decal leads to recovery of stolen car
A defaced safety check decal led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle in the Ward area, Honolulu police said.
A sergeant in the area noticed the safety check decal and pulled the car over. Police determined the car was stolen and arrested the driver, a 27-year-old man, on suspicion of driving a stolen car.
His passenger, a 13-year-old girl, was also arrested on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
