A six-year-old Eleele girl drowned Sunday at a family day outing at a private pool, the Garden Island reported.
The Kauai newspaper identified the victim as Trixia Mich Soliva, the granddaughter of Club at Kukuiula employee Roger Soliva.
The victim was seen at the bottom of the pool at 12:15 p.m., and fire rescue personnel were called. She was taken to Wilcox Hospital where she died.
The pool was the site of an employee event.
This was Kauai’s second fresh water drowning and the 13th overall this year, the newspaper said.
