Police to issue free emergency info cards for seniors
Senior citizens will be able to obtain an unofficial “Kupuna” identification card from Honolulu police officers listing their vital and emergency information, including their picture, at Kahala Mall on July 27.
The card, available for residents 55 years and older, is not an official government identification card, but will help emergency personnel identify a senior citizen who is lost, disoriented or in need of medical assistance. Besides a photo, the card will list the bearer’s name, contact information and any medical conditions.
Police will issue the cards from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kahala Mall inside Longs Drug store.
