Applications sought for historic preservation head
The state Department of Land and Natural Resources is accepting applications for a new administrator to lead its historic preservation division.
Former Administrator Pua Aiu resigned last month after a federal report criticized the way the office was responding to operational problems that threaten federal funding. Aiu was the division’s administrator for five years
Bureau of Conveyances Registrar Nicki Ann Thompson is serving as acting administrator.
Applications will be accepted until Aug. 30 and the department expects an administrator to be selected within the next three months. A committee will review and interview candidates.
Salary for the non-civil service job is at least $90,000 annually.
