A man was hospitalized in serious condition Thursday following an apparent stabbing at Mother Waldron Park in Kakaako.
At about 2 p.m., police arrested two men, ages 28 and 26, with no local addresses, on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder at 416 Coral St.
Patrol Lt. Benjamin Mahi said a man walking through the park got into an argument with five other men, and the argument escalated.
“A fight ensued and during the course of the fight, a dangerous instrument was presented by one of the males, injuring another male substantially,” Mahi said. He described the injuries as “cuts.”
An “edged” weapon was recovered at the scene.
The park was roped off by officers as detectives investigated.
