Boy, 3, falls 20 feet from Ala Moana condominium window

An investigator leans out of a window where a 3-year-old boy fell about 20 feet to a concrete awning below at the Atkinson Plaza condominium this afternoon.
A 3-year-old boy was in serious condition after falling about 20 feet from a window in a residential building at 475 Atkinson Drive, near Kapiolani Boulevard and Ala Moana Center.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene at about 12:35 p.m. and took the boy to an area hospital.
A witness said the boy fell from a window to the awning above the entrance to the Atkinson Plaza condominium.
The boy was initially conscious when rescuers first reached him, the witness said.
