Man allegedly passes counterfeit money at Palama store

Honolulu police arrested a 28-year-old man in the Palama area Thursday after he allegedly tried to pay for items at a store with counterfeit money, according to police records.

The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. at 582 N. King St. 

Police said the man, who gave no local address, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree forgery at the store about three hours later.
