University of Hawaii running back Joey Iosefa and defensive tackle Kennedy Tulimasealii are on the 64-player travel roster for Saturday’s road game against Oregon State.
Iosefa, who suffered a broken foot while training on July 22, did not practice until this week. He participated in contact drills on Wednesday and Thursday.
Tulimasealii, a 2013 Waianae High graduate, was in the defensive-line rotation when he tore the MCL in his right knee on Aug. 20.
Coach Norm Chow did not indicate how — or if — both players will be used against Oregon State.
Faga Wiley, Steven Lakalaka, Marcus Langkilde and Diocemy Saint Juste split the reps at running back in the Rainbow Warriors’ season opener against USC.
Tulimasealii can play three positions on the defensive line. Against USC, Moses Samia and Calen Friel rotated at nose tackle. Saui Matagiese and Marcus Malepeai split time at defensive tackle.
The Warriors are traveling with four quarterbacks — Taylor Graham, Sean Schroeder, Jeremy Higgins and Ikaika Woolsey. Woolsey is the No. 1 holder.
The Warriors also brought two kickers and two snappers.
Tyler Hadden handles all of the place-kicking duties. Joe Uglietto, who redshirted in 2012 after transferring from Colgate, will serve as the backup kicker.
Kawika Borden is the long-snapper on punts and Brodie Nakama snaps on field-goal attempts and point-after kicks. Borden is primarily a safety.
There are nine offensive linemen on the travel roster. Dejon Allen, who moved from defensive tackle on Monday, is a backup guard.
Justin Vele, who was added to the active roster this past week, is one of three tight ends. The others are Harold Moleni and Clark Evans.
Vele suffered a broken fibula during the spring game. He made a rapid recovery, regaining a spot in the rotation.
Tony Grimes also is on the travel roster.
Grimes was at Mississippi before transferring to Arizona Western in 2011. He then transferred to UH last year. He was a cornerback through this past weekend. The UH coaches granted Grimes’ request to move to receiver.
Grimes practiced with the offense during Thursday’s practice. Chow said Grimes will be used on special teams against Oregon State.
The Warriors are scheduled to have a 40-minute walk-through session at OSU’s Reser Stadium this afternoon.
