Schroeder, Woolsey take most of reps at QB for UH
With University of Hawaii Taylor Graham resting a sore left shoulder, Sean Schroeder and Ikaika Woolsey took turns at quarterback during today’s football practice at Ching Field.
Graham injured his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the second quarter against Nevada this past weekend.
“He didn’t practice today,” head coach Norm Chow said. “We’ll see tomorrow. He’s under rehab. It’s a day-by-day deal.”
Chow said Graham, a junior who started UH’s first three games, is not ruled out for Saturday’s game against 25th-ranked Fresno State at Aloha Stadium.
Schroeder, who started 11 games in 2012 after transferring from Duke, and Woolsey, a second-year freshman who was on the scout offense this fall, split reps. Jeremy Higgins divided time between the UH’s offense and the scout offense.
During the post-practice news conference, Chow said: “We decided we’d go with Sean or Ikaika if Taylor can’t go.”

Later, he clarified those comments, telling the Star-Advertiser that Jeremy Higgins also is in the mix.
Chow said it was decided to go with Schroeder and Woolsey today, but “tomorrow might be different.”
He added: “There’s no way you can give three (quarterbacks) reps. There’s no way. It’s tough to give two guys reps.”
