UH ocean, earth science school holding open house
The School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology is inviting the public to learn about volcanoes, tsunami and other phenomena at its Open House on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus.
Over 6,600 people attended the school’s last Open House in 2011.
The school plans to welcome members of the public on Saturday, Oct. 26.
The Open House will be exclusively for school children the day before, on Friday, Oct. 25. But the school says all the available time slots for this day are filled and there’s a waitlist for schools hoping to attend.
Open House exhibits and presentations will be in and around the Pacific Ocean Science & Technology building, the Marine Science Building, and the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics building.
