Maui parks to close for renovation work

Restrooms at several Maui County parks will be closed beginning Oct. 14 for renovation work, including new plumbing fixtures, paint and finishes.

Portable toilets will be provided while the maintenance work is being done,

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation said the restoration will be at:

» Kamalii Park in Kahului, off of Aiai Street; from Oct. 14-24.

» Polo Beach Park in Wailea, off of Makena Road; from Oct. 14 to Nov. 4.

» Haiku Ball Fields, behind Haiku Park and Community Center off of Hana Highway; from Oct. 28 to Nov. 11.

» Hookipa Park in Kuau, off of Hana Highway; from Nov. 18 to Dec. 6.
