Honolulu restaurateur Peter Kim plans to open Oahu’s second Liliha Bakery in May at the former Sam Choy’s Breakfast Lunch & Crab restaurant on Nimitz Highway.

Kim is duplicating the iconic Liliha Bakery concept as he expands into downtown Honolulu’s urban core, and will grow the restaurant side of the business, adding seven times the number of seats than the original bakery to his dining room.

Kim plans to hire 60 to 70 employees for the 165-seat restaurant and bakery.
