The giveaway begins at 7 a.m. at the Hawaiian Electric Kahe Power Plant in West Oahu, Urban Garden Center in Pearl City, HECO Ward Avenue Facility in Honolulu and Koolau Base Yard in Kailua. It begins at 9 a.m. at Wahiawa Botanical Garden and Waimea Valley.
HECO, which is commemorating its 20th year of tree giveaways, is offering a variety of popular fruit trees as well as flowering shrubs and native plants.
