Foot is turned over to medical examiner
The city Medical Examiner’s Office said Thursday that a human foot found Wednesday in Waialua has been turned over to the agency.
A lieutenant with the police Criminal Investigation Division would neither confirm nor deny that the foot was found, and no police highlight on the subject was generated from the division. The Medical Examiner’s Office had no further information.
Honolulu CrimeStoppers issued a missing-persons bulletin in July about a 30-year-old man who was last seen at his family’s Waialua farm at 1 a.m. July 21.
Whether there is any connection between the foot and the missing man is not known.

Search continues for cruise ship passenger
The Coast Guard and the Grand Princess cruise ship resumed a search Thursday for a 54-year-old woman who is believed to have jumped from the vessel hundreds of miles northeast of Hilo.
Princess Cruises, in a written statement, reported that the woman, a U.S. citizen, was seen intentionally going overboard from the 17-deck ship at about 1 p.m. Wednesday. The cruise line said the witness account was confirmed by closed-circuit television.
The woman’s name was being withheld pending notification of her family, the cruise line said.
When the witness reported the incident, the ship was turned around and a search began in the area where the passenger went overboard. The company said it immediately contacted the FBI and the Coast Guard, which sent airplanes from Barbers Point Air Station for the search.
