Woman, man arrested after altercation with Handi-Van driver

Police arrested a 46-year-old Waianae woman and a 50-year-old Kapolei man for their alleged part in an altercation with a Handi-Van driver Monday.

According to police, the two suspects got into a verbal argument with the 29-year-old male driver and were asked to exit the vehicle.

The woman allegedly struck the driver with a dangerous instrument, then used the instrument to break the vehicles windows. The male suspect also struck the driver, police said.

The incident happened just after noon in an area fronting Walmart on Keeaumoku.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, third-degree criminal property damage and interference with the operator of a public transit vehicle. The man was arrested on suspicion of interference with the operator of a public transit vehicle.
