Man charged in attack on pair

A 25-year-old Kalama Valley man was charged Tuesday in the assault of a man, 19, and a woman, 22, who were sitting in a parked vehicle in Palolo on Oct. 11.

Prosecutors charged Jordan Jovero with first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $75,000.

Police said Jovero had confronted and physically assaulted the pair at 2:30 a.m. during a domestic dispute.

Police later located Jovero and arrested him Monday on suspicion of the car break-in, criminal property damage, abuse of a household member and interference in reporting an emergency.
