Teen arrested after allegedly assaulting detention worker
Police are investigating a report that a 16-year-old boy allegedly assaulted a staff member Monday at the Kapolei youth detention facility.
The alleged assault occurred at 12:20 p.m. The police report did not describe the type of injuries the 58-year-old man received. The suspect was released pending further investigation after being arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
