Fall from horse injures Maui man, 64
A 64-year-old man was taken by helicopter to a Maui hospital Saturday after sustaining injuries in a fall off his horse.
The man sustained a cut to his head and was complaining of back pains, Maui County fire spokesman Lee Mainaga said.
The rescue took place on an unimproved road makai of Piilani Highway between milepost 17 and 18, after rescue workers received an alarm at 4:35 p.m.
